IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR AUTHORS AND REVIEWERS

The Editorial Board of the Gumilyov Journal of History would like to draw your attention to important information regarding the delivery of system-generated emails from the journal website: Gumilyov Journal of History.

Due to technical restrictions imposed by email service providers such as mail.ru, yandex.ru, bk.ru, and other services within the Mail Group ecosystem, significant issues have arisen with the delivery of journal correspondence:

• emails may not be delivered at all;
• emails may be redirected to the Spam or Deleted Items folders;
• communication may be disrupted during the stages of manuscript submission, peer review, and editorial correspondence.

These issues are caused by strict email filtering systems that block automated notifications sent through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform used by our journal.

Therefore, we strongly recommend the following:

1. When registering on the platform, please use institutional or corporate email addresses (e.g., @enu.kz, @edu.kz, @kaznu.kz, etc.).
2. Alternatively, you may use Gmail addresses (@gmail.com), which reliably receive system notifications from the journal platform.
3. Please avoid registering with email addresses ending in: @mail.ru, @yandex.ru, @bk.ru, @inbox.ru, @list.ru.

If you have already registered using one of the addresses listed above, you may update your email address in your personal profile on the platform.

Sincerely,
Editorial Board
Gumilyov Journal of History
