Author Payments

The journal’s policy, aligned with international standards of research ethics, does not charge any publication fees.

The editorial board does not charge authors a processing fee if their manuscripts are rejected following reviewers’ recommendations. In such cases, the editorial office bears the costs associated with a range of editorial services, including manuscript receipt and registration, initial assessment for compliance with the journal’s requirements, reviewer search, and communication of review results to authors.

The manuscript processing and review fee set by the journal is not intended as a source of profit. All funds received from authors are used exclusively to cover editorial and publishing expenses. These include ensuring high publication quality standards, technical preparation of materials, support for the peer review process, as well as administrative and organizational costs related to publishing scholarly content.

Thus, the established fee is aimed at ensuring the sustainable operation of the journal and improving the quality of scientific publications.

The editorial board provides fee waivers for international authors. If all co-authors of a manuscript are citizens of foreign countries, no processing fee is charged. This policy is intended to foster international scientific collaboration, create favorable conditions for foreign researchers, and encourage their publication activity. If the manuscript is co-authored by both foreign and Kazakhstani researchers, the processing fee is calculated proportionally based on the number of fee-exempt and fee-applicable co-authors.

The editorial board works directly with authors and does not engage intermediaries. If any companies or individuals offer to publish your article in our journal for a fee as intermediaries, please note that such offers are illegal. We kindly ask that you report such violations to us at: gj.history@enu.kz

In cases where the processing fee is not paid, the final version prepared for publication will be discarded, and the original manuscript returned to the author(s). In such cases, publication is not possible, and the editorial office assumes the processing costs.
