Official notice to the editorial board The editorial board of the Gumilyov Journal of History reports that the material "Scientific stagnation, or how fascination with current topics leads to conceptual failures. Marginal notes of the article "Collectivization and Repression: the Transformation of Kazakh society in the 20th century", posted at: https://jhistory.enu.kz/index.php/jHistory/article/view/169 , was published in error due to an editorial and technical failure before the completion of the mandatory review procedure. It was established that the publication was carried out in violation of the editorial regulations. Due to the fact that the article did not go through the full established editorial cycle, its publication was cancelled. The material was removed from the journal's website, and a procedure was initiated to remove the relevant metadata from external indexing systems. Please consider this material not published in the journal and not subject to consideration as a peer-reviewed scientific article. The editors apologize to the readers and authors for the mistake.
