The Activities of Independent Kazakhstan in the Justification and Development of the Country's Defense and Its Political and Historical Significance

The article delineates the inaugural organisational measures and their ramifications in the implementation of the autonomous defence policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan since the inaugural period of its independence. It cites a plethora of data, assesses the relevance and significance of this step in developing and strengthening sovereignty, and analyzes the initial work being done. The objectives of the state program of the Republic of Kazakhstan for implementing the defense policy adopted during the first period of independence are specified, and the significance of the work to be carried out within its framework is determined. The specific measures implemented by the Republic of Kazakhstan to strengthen the country's defense forces, train military specialists, and ensure their technical condition, and the initial activities and tasks for further implementation of this work are analysed using specific examples. The text goes on to describe the Republic of Kazakhstan's entry into the Collective Security Organization (CSO), a body founded among several former USSR republics, and its activities within it. It also indicates the significance of the planned efforts and proposals for further development and increasing the effectiveness of the work of this defense organization. Finally, it analyses the activity of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the SCO and indicates its significance. The text goes on to outline specific proposals put forward by the state within the framework of this regional organisation for organising the country's defence on a solid basis, and to provide a historical assessment. The analysis then goes on to consider the relations and exchange of experience with the defence services of foreign countries, including the Republic of Turkey, the USA, and others, in strengthening the armed forces of the sovereign state, basing its capabilities in accordance with world requirements. Simultaneously, consideration is given to the accords established by the sovereign nation with NATO member states within this domain to ensure parity and tranquillity. Furthermore, the implementation of Kazakhstan's "Partnership for Peace" initiative is documented. The necessity of maintaining a consistently high level of defence policy, the primary guarantee of the country's independence, in the context of global and regional changes, is emphasised. Recommendations are provided for the systematic and purposeful implementation of this work. The primary sources of information for this article are drawn from foreign and domestic state archives, as well as historical works.
